Brian is a graduate of Spring Arbor University with a degree in Business Management and Organizational Development. He has been in the industry for the past fifteen years of which the last ten were as an agency owner. He has also spent time as a territory manager for a large captive company along with experience as an independent adjuster. Brian is passionate about leading his Agency team and creating environments for his team to thrive. He is a disruptor of sorts and enjoys thinking outside the box and challenging the status quo. You can find him in the hallways of Royal Oath cracking jokes and rambling about random topics.

In his personal life, Brian is a family man and Father of four. In his free time, he enjoys golf, travel, cooking, and poker. He is a people lover and wants to give a world class experience to our customers.

Owen started his insurance journey in 2008. He brings a wealth of agency experience to Royal Oath having spent time with State Farm and then helping build an independent agency from startup to acquisition. Owen recently served as a Director and Vice President at two startup insurtech carriers covering the auto, home, and life insurance verticals.

Owen is a dedicated team-builder and believes employee and client satisfaction are paramount to the success of our business.
A University of Michigan graduate, Owen is a diehard Wolverine and lives for Fall Saturdays, sunny days, and quality time with his close friends and family.

Tara began her career in the insurance industry in 2012 and obtained her P&C License in 2013. She worked in a captive agency for almost 10 years and made the transition to the independent side in 2021 – all under the leadership of Brian Edwards. Tara is passionate about helping clients with their insurance needs. She handles customer service for all clients and is an integral member of the commercial team. She is married with two adult children and has 3 dogs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, watching sports, and exercising.

Dominic has been in the insurance industry for the past 5 years as an Agent. He holds licenses in Property & Casualty and Life & Health. In that time, he worked for a large captive agency before becoming an Independent Insurance Agent and representing dozens of insurance companies.

Dominic is very passionate about providing solutions and advising his clients about their insurance needs. Dominic realizes that in the current market, it is important to make sure that his clients get what they need at a competitive price.

Personally, Dominic is a graduate of Central Michigan University. He enjoys golfing, pickle ball and playing hockey. If he’s not doing those activities, he is enjoying quality time with family and friends.

Dominic is a people person and wants to provide an authentic world class experience for his clients and referral partners.

Jim has been working in the insurance industry part time for the past 8 years working for both a captive carrier as well as the independent side of the insurance world. He has also spent the past 29 years as an English teacher in L’Anse Creuse Public Schools. During this time he has coached football and is currently serving as his building’s union representative with MEA Local One. Jim is passionate about helping people whether they are the students he works with or his customers he works for. He sees many similarities in the roles that he plays. As a teacher, his main philosophy is to do what is best for the students and as an insurance agent; he does what is best for his customers.

On the personal side, Jim is married to his lovely wife, Shannon and they recently celebrated their 25th anniversary. He is also a very proud and loving father to his three sons. He enjoys attending his sons’ sporting events as well as getting in a few rounds of golf with his buddies. He is currently serving as the vice president of the Dad’s Club at De La Salle Collegiate where he can be found serving a cocktail or two as the resident bartender. He would definitely be classified as a “people person” and he always enjoys meeting new people. As his teaching career winds down, he will transition into the insurance world and take on new challenges that come his way.

Phil has been working in the insurance industry as an agent for the last decade. He is licensed in property, casualty, life, and health. He got his start with a captive agency and learned how powerful appropriate insurance coverage can be for customers. After nearly 7 years with a captive agency, he transitioned to the independent side of the business to expand his options to help his clients.

Personally, Phil is a girl dad of two wonderful daughters and married to his wife of ten years! When he is not protecting his clients, you will find him spending time with his family and friends, behind the grill or smoking different types of meats. Having grown up in Metro Detroit, he is also an avid Detroit Sports fan.

Joe brings a unique perspective to the insurance world, holding a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan. That analytical background instilled in him a precision and attention to detail that he carries into every client interaction, because in insurance, the details matter.

Joe is driven by a genuine commitment to delivering first-class service to every client he serves. Whether navigating a complex coverage question or simply making sure a family has the right protection in place, Joe approaches every conversation with care, thoroughness, and the Royal Oath promise in mind.

In his off hours, Joe enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering on the Michigan Wolverines, experimenting with recipes in the kitchen, and cycling.

Professionally Rory has just under a decade of experience serving families in the Greater Metro Detroit Area with their Real Estate needs. Recently licensed in Property and Casualty, he partnered his company MacDon and Associates with Royal Oath Insurance Group to offer Insurance Services to his clients. Having worked side by side with several home builders, inspectors and fellow Real Estate professionals, Rory is prepared to help any of our Royal Oath clients purchase or sell their property. Rory and his wife Holly, have three children and are passionate about serving their local church and community.
